HYROX Classes in Barcelona

Train at an official HYROX training club in the heart of Barcelona. Structured small-group classes that build endurance, strength and race performance — for first-timers and competitive athletes alike.

What HYROX classes at PrepNation look like

HYROX is a global fitness race that is identical worldwide, which makes it uniquely trainable: eight one-kilometre runs, each followed by a functional station. Our classes in Barcelona are built directly around that format, so every session moves you closer to a measurable race result instead of leaving your progress to chance.

Rather than offering random group workouts, PrepNation runs a four-part system. Each format trains a different limiting factor, and together they cover everything a HYROX race demands.

EngineEndurance and cardiovascular work built for the demands of a HYROX race, so the running never breaks you. Focus: running, aerobic capacity, conditioning, pacing.
StrengthForce production, movement quality and muscular resilience — the power required for sled pushes, sled pulls, walking lunges and wall balls.
TransitionTimed race-specific blocks that combine running and stations with no breaks, training pacing, transitions and decision-making under fatigue.
SimulationStructured race simulations against the clock, tracking your output at every station under accumulated fatigue.
Ergometer work in a HYROX class in Barcelona
Every class is built around the eight race stations. Nothing in the programming is random.

Who our HYROX classes in Barcelona are for

Beginners

If you have never raced HYROX, you start with technique, pacing and safe scaling. The first session includes an assessment so the coach knows your level before you touch a sled. No prior experience is required — only the willingness to be coached.

Intermediate athletes

If you already train regularly, the system gives structure to what was previously a mix of gym sessions and running. Most athletes at this stage make their biggest gains in transitions and pacing rather than in raw strength.

Competitive HYROX athletes

If you are targeting a specific finish time, Simulation sessions and Race Prep blocks let you test pacing strategies, measure station splits and adjust before race day rather than during it.

Frequently asked questions about HYROX classes in Barcelona

What are HYROX classes?

HYROX classes are structured training sessions built around the official HYROX race format: 8 kilometres of running split into 8×1 km, each followed by a functional station such as SkiErg, sled push, sled pull, burpee broad jumps, rowing, farmers carry, sandbag lunges and 100 wall balls. At PrepNation in Barcelona these elements are trained in a clear progression rather than as random workouts.

Where can I do HYROX training in Barcelona?

You can train HYROX at PrepNation, an official HYROX training club in the Gràcia district of Barcelona (Carrer de Lluís Antúnez 1, 08006). We run structured small-group classes every day from 05:00 to 23:00, with coaching in English, Spanish and German.

Is there a HYROX gym in Barcelona?

Yes. PrepNation is an official HYROX training club in Barcelona, equipped with sleds, ergometers, wall ball targets, sandbags and a running setup so every station of the race can be trained under realistic conditions.

Can beginners join HYROX classes?

Yes. Every class is scaled to the athlete, and your first session includes a short assessment so the coach can adapt weights, distances and pacing to your level. Many of our members had never done a HYROX race before joining.

How big are the training groups?

Group sizes are intentionally limited based on the training format — typically 6 to 8 athletes in coaching-intensive formats and up to 12 in Engine sessions. That keeps corrections, scaling and attention possible in every session.

How often should I train for HYROX?

Most athletes train two to four times per week. Beginners usually start with two sessions and add a third once movement quality and recovery allow it; athletes preparing for a race often train three to four times per week across Engine, Strength, Transition and Simulation.

What do the classes cost?

Your first class is free. After that you can choose a drop-in for 20 €, a session pack (5 for 90 €, 10 for 160 €, 20 for 270 €) or a monthly membership from 69 € per month with annual billing. During the HYROX Barcelona campaign, Race Prep packages start at 75 €.

What should I bring to my first class?

Training shoes, comfortable sportswear, a towel and water. Everything else — equipment, programming and coaching — is provided.
